Job Description
Food and Beverage Manager Congaree and Penn, LLC 11830 Old Kings Road, Jacksonville, FL 32219 Congaree and Penn is a Florida farm and restaurant dedicated to agriculture & culinary endeavors, and gathering the community to enjoy both. In addition to our existing restaurant catering and agritourism operations C + P is developing 24 guest cottages, a farm store, pavilion and the remodeling of our existing restaurant, which will be launched & rebranded in fall 2025. At present C + P is looking for a dynamic individual to oversee all current and future food and breverage operations. The strongest candidate will display innate leadership qualities and an ability to attract, motivate and retain talented team members. The general manager should show a strong work ethic and be dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in all aspects of hospitality.
Present Operations:
Restaurant Full service field to fork dinner service in our original C + P venue Friday-Sunday. Full service lunch service Saturday & Sunday. Chefs Tasting Menu 2/month September-June in Vineyard Pergola. Catering Small Parties (Groups of 13-45) catered in our vineyard pergola. Full Service Catering (Groups of 45-175) catered in our original C + P venue. Off-site corporate office catering. Agritourism Farm Tours/Wagon Rides Animal Paddock Programming U-Pick Berries, Figs, Grapes Wildflowers Canine Field Day in Oak Hammock Food & Beverage Full service field to fork dinner service at ‘High Horse’ Friday-Sunday. Full Service fixed menu for resort guests Monday – Thursday at ‘High Horse’. New Pavilion & Food Truck/Culinary Garden Open on Weekends & Available for events. Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Achievement of budgeted food sales, beverage sales, labor costs and profitability. Oversight of timely guest communication & coordination. Build cross functional teams with exemplary communication, functional skills and full accountability while maintaining a customer focus priority Handle all Food & Beverage inquiries and ensure timely follow up on the same business day. Planning & administration of weekly Food & Beverage staff meeting. To assist in menu planning and pricing. Development and maintenance of department manuals. Biweekly payroll review. All other duties as directed by ownership. Participation in Manager on Duty shifts as required. Assure the completion of weekly schedule (3 weeks out) and shift duties while maintaining a labor cost at or below the budgeted expectation Teamwork-Relations with co-workers and management Responsible for staff training and development Ensure that all HR procedures are followed according to company policy High employee retention Personal development and growth Discipline of personnel when required Responsible for overseeing all scheduling within the department Achieving service that exceeds expectations Overall maintenance of the operation at a level in keeping with the standards prescribed Report any deficiencies in equipment and facilities & address in real time when able.
Required Experience:
Must have a 4 year degree in a relevant field. Strengths must include multi-tasking, problem resolution, and customer relations. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be a team player with a strong work ethic.
