Hourly Pay Rate is based on average payout to our employees with base hourly rate plus tips•I. Summary of the main function/purpose of the position: The FOH Manager leads the operation of the FOH. The FOH Manager has the overall responsibility for directing the daily operations of the FOH, ensuring compliance with company standards in customer relations, restaurant maintenance, inventory management, team management, recruiting, hiring, termination and retention of team members, financial accountability, and ensuring that the highest quality products and services are delivered to each customer. II.

Principal duties/responsibilities:

Hire, train, and terminate FOH employees as needed Communicate with all guests to ensure customer satisfaction Answer and resolve staff questions, suggestions, and concerns Weekly scheduling for FOH staff Communicating ordering needs to the Culinary Director for all beverages and dry goods inventory Communicating ordering needs to the Liberty Bar Manager for all alcoholic beverage inventory Oversee/complete time slip modifications Relay new product information on new and rotating case and menu items to staff Communicate with kitchen and bakery staff on flow of service, guest satisfaction, and ticket times Drop cash sales into Hawthorn petty cash, replenishing small bills in the daily bank Ensure all side work, opening, and closing duties and closing money procedures are completed correctly Work alongside counter servers when scheduled for a counter server shift Communicate wholesale and presale orders to the bakery Enforce all Seven Hills and Hawthorn Policies, and complete disciplinary actions when needed Establishing and maintaining service of standards and conduct Organizing and coordinating opportunity for events related to brand promotion and business expansion Coordinating promotional and social media content relating to FOH programs or employment opportunities with contracted service providers Contact facilities manager for any facility needs Maintain proper sanitation and cleaning of restaurant Demonstrates a detailed knowledge of all menu items and FOH operations Provide performance reviews for FOH employees Coordinate with bakery and BOH to send a complete inventory to the culinary director Unpack and stock beverage and dry goods inventory III. Occasional duties or projects which may be performed at irregular intervals: Assist the bakery in packaging wholesale orders Extra cleaning projects Develop and create new materials and paperwork for growing FOH operations Perform any additional tasks as assigned by ownership IV.

Records:

Responsible for keeping track of all payments and receipts, as well as entering tips into the POS system accurately. Certain shifts will require the employee to do end of night money and record tips and sales accurately. Responsible for acquiring all necessary documents from employees for employment and keeping such documents confidential. Employee is responsible for ensuring end of night money and cash drops are counted accurately and stored securely.

Safety:

Ensures customer payment information remains confidential. Follows food and alcohol safety rules and regulations to ensure a clean and safe dining environment.

Customer Service:

Maintains excellent rapport with customers. V.

Educational and/or equivalence in experience requirements: – Specialized or technical educational requirements: Ability to read, write, and enter information into a POS system Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information. Ability to organize and complete end of night reports that require basic arithmetic. Ability to problem solve. Ability to organize and write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as budget information.

– Certification or licensing requirements:

Valid Florida Driver’s License or dependable transportation when and where public transportation is not available. All employees are required to have a valid Safe Staff Manager Food Handler Certificate. VIII. Specialized equipment or machines used in the course of the duties of the position. Physical demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, and is required to talk and hear at full capacity. The employee is constantly required to stand and walk for up to 8 hour stretches. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms up to 72 inches. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Front of house positions are required to be able to lift and carry 40-50lbs and back of house positions are required to be able to lift and carry 50-60lbs.
