Position Summary:
As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurant’s operations to ensure a high standard of service and guest satisfaction. With extensive experience in fine dining etiquette, wine knowledge, and adept skills in task management, delegation, and prioritization, you will manage a team, maintain operational excellence, and drive the restaurant’s operational and financial success. Your role will involve delivering exceptional guest experiences, developing marketing strategies, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance productivity and food quality. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight:
Direct comprehensive restaurant operations, ensuring optimal performance across all service areas Employ various technology tools to streamline restaurant operations and improve guest satisfaction Develop and implement effective sales and profitability strategies Repairs, maintenance and attention to detail
Leadership and Staff Management:
Lead, inspire, and train staff to promote a culture of high performance and exceptional customer service Manage shift operations, including scheduling, staff training, task delegation, Regular performance evaluations for subordinates Create and maintain a positive and productive work environment for all employees Ensure safety and health code standards are upheld Ensure fulfillment of daily manager checklist for all opening and closing duties Communicate effectively on urgent HR matters and find solutions to staffing problems
Financial Management and Marketing:
Oversee financial activities including budgeting, P&L management, cash handling, and financial reporting Manage inventory, control costs, track variances and make adjustments Strategize revenue growth and marketing tactics
Guest Experience:
Enhance service by creating meaningful connections with guests Resolve service issues, ensuring guest satisfaction and repeat business Collaborate with kitchen staff to develop menus that meet market demand and seasonal trends Monitor customer feedback and implement necessary operational improvements to enhance the dining experience
Required Personal Experience and Characteristics:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in restaurant management, with extensive knowledge of restaurant operations Demonstrate proficiency in using industry-standard software and systems for reservations, scheduling, and financial management Strong detail-oriented, leadership skills with a passion for customer service and the ability to delegate and prioritize tasks Ability to handle and address conflict immediately and communicate effectively with the team Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a high-paced environment Deep understanding of financial health and strong sense of pride and responsibility for the financial success of the business Availability to lift 40 pounds, stand for long hours, and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary Must possess a current food safety certification and remain knowledgeable about the latest food and beverage regulations Complete our application today!
