Purpose:

Cape Leisure Silver Springs provides visitor services at Silver Springs State Park under a concession agreement with Florida State Parks. These services include the World-Famous Glass Bottom Boat Tours, Paddling Rentals, 2 Restaurants

• Springside Cafe and Paradise Treats, Retail in our Gift Shop and Kiosks, Catering and Special Events at the Paradise Ballroom, Twin Oaks Mansion, and other venues.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Follow Cape Leisure’s concession agreement and Cape Leisure’s annual operating plan for Silver Springs State Park.
• Adhere to all Cape Leisure policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to merchandising, pricing, employee and guest safety, environmental and financial controls.
• Ensure that company and government assets, including equipment, money and inventories, are properly protected.
• Maintain a good knowledge of the park and current events.
• Ensure the proper quality control of food and beverage and other supplies to include quality control, inventory accuracy and rotation of stock.
• Supervise daily front-of-house operations, ensuring exceptional service and guest satisfaction.
• Train, coach, and supervise front-of-house staff, fostering a positive team environment.
• Oversee cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Coordinate food handling and preparation processes to maintain quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and efficient communication.
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to enhance overall experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, bar, and service stations.
• Assist in scheduling staff shifts and managing labor costs effectively. Skills
• Proven experience in the food industry or hospitality sector is essential.
• Strong knowledge of cash handling procedures and financial transactions.
• Familiarity with food handling and preparation practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Excellent team leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse group of individuals.
• Experience in restaurant front-of-the-house or bar operations is highly desirable.
• Exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with guests and staff alike.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Other duties and responsibilities as required.
• Proficiency with POS Systems.
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with general office computer software such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to move, stand, stoop and bend for an entire 8-12 hour shift. Tasks require consistent use of both arms and legs.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and carry for short distances.
• Must be willing to tolerate working outdoors and in warm interior environments.
• Must be able to visually inspect the condition of facilities.
