Assistant General Manager Cheers Sports Bar & Liquor Store on I-Drive 6923 Municipal Drive, Orlando, FL 32819

Job Duties:
  • Control the day-to-day operations within the policies and guidelines set forth by the company
  • Maintain a professional company image, including bar cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards.
  • Learn procedures for using point of sale system, documenting daily sales and preparing and processing vendor orders. Provide suggestions for improvement as they arise.
  • Assist in the development of a marketing plan for food and beverage services. This plan will include marketing strategy (sales promotions/social media/advertising), sales goals, tracking procedures and resource requirements.
  • Ensure daily paperwork is completed properly and any cash short or payout items are resolved with appropriate staff.
  • Respond to any customer services needs or issues to provide the highest standards of service.
  • Ensure bank deposits are made daily and cash is always secured.
  • Assist in determining staffing needs and schedules. This would include working with management team to ensure kitchen, bar and liquor store staffing needs are met.
  • Recruit, interview and hire team members; train, supervise and motivate; take disciplinary action and terminate team management members when necessary.
  • Ensure all staff are properly trained and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions.
  • Assist in the formal documentation of operating procedures for all areas of operations. This would include the bar, kitchen and liquor store operations.
  • Comply with and ensure all staff comply with the employee handbook and position job descriptions.
  • Lead management team.
  • Politely and courteously deal with all customers and staff at all times.
  • Be cross trained for all jobs performed at company.
  • Monitor costs to ensure profitability and challenge operations to increase profitability.
  • Ensure a clean, safe and orderly environment at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, sanitation, legal regulations.
  • Maintain or develop vendor relationships to ensure product quality, fair cost and reliability.
  • Ensure procurement and maintenance of inventory as necessary
  • Ensure all inventory is kept in orderly fashion and properly rotated.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained and serviced appropriately and facilitate prompt repairs to the facility or equipment should a breakdown occur.
  • Provide input for the development and maintenance of the food and drink menu. This would include modifying periodically and development of specials to promote sales and use surplus inventory. This would also include price changes to menu to ensure margins are maintained and increased supply costs are incorporated into pricing of food and beverages.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Keep information related to the company confidential.

The salary range is listed for the job which does not include a performance bonus. The job also provides a free shift meal and end of shift drink.
