Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a General Manager at Shipley Do-Nuts in a exciting new development in Orlando, FL. The General Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, manage staff, ensure quality and customer satisfaction, handle financial aspects, and implement business strategies to drive growth and success in the store. Shipley Do-Nuts, established in 1936, is the oldest and largest privately owned doughnut brand in the U.S. With over 330 locations in nine states, Shipley Do-Nuts is known for its artisan-made pastries, including handmade kolaches, cinnamon rolls, chocolate twists, and bear claws. The company offers a unique blend of volume donut production methods and artisan pastries, creating a wide variety of flavors reminiscent of an old-world bakery. Joining our group as a Shipley Do-Nuts General Manager will serve as a key role in our mission to serve fresh, craveable products while emphasizing outstanding guest service in an exciting, hospitable atmosphere. Essential Functions People Development:
Cultivate managers in all aspects of restaurant leadership and company standards to preserve the integrity and overall operations Demonstrate and uphold strong leadership aligned with Core Values and mission statement. Act as a mentor, dedicating time to train, coach, and develop others while adapting to their individual learning styles and motivational needs. Lead the recruitment, selection, and retention of team members through motivation, recognition, coaching, and development. Champion and comply with all company standards and policies, including the code of conduct, attendance, and uniform standards. Use sound judgment to escalate concerns and proactively address issues. Prepare and facilitate discussions, Manager Development, and performance reviews with management staff and team members, taking necessary disciplinary actions in accordance with company standards. Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained. Oversee training processes to ensure high-quality standards.
Operations Excellence:
Maintain company and brand operational standards Ensuring team members are trained to create safe environments. Ensure that equipment, facilities, and grounds meet company and brand standards through preventative maintenance measures. Foster a positive, productive, and enjoyable work environment. Efficiently manage the restaurant by adhering to all company procedures to ensure satisfaction for both employees and guests. Follow federal, state, and local laws, along with company policies (including wage and hour laws and alcohol service regulations). Oversee all restaurant operations, location planning, scheduling, forecasting, while maintaining standards for product quality and cleanliness. Delegate tasks responsibly and follow up, maintaining accountability for the overall operation of the restaurant.
