The Food & Beverage Manager works closely with the Food & Beverage Management Team to oversee Restaurant, Bar, & Banquet functions within the hotel to ensure we maintain high standards of food and beverage quality and service.
Reports to:
Director of F&B Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the management of all aspects of the restaurant, dining room and function rooms Work closely with Human Resources and Head of F&B to assist with recruiting, training, and performance management Motivates the staff to ensure that guest receives excellent services Directs, implements and maintains great service to guests Supervising cash handling procedures Finding training opportunities through daily activities Inspire the staff to look at job responsibilities through the guests’ perspectives Communicate and collaborate with other hotel departments including Sales, Restaurants, Catering, etc. to ensure seamless guest service and creative solutions to venue and event opportunities Solicit local group Food & Beverage business; maintain the services and reputation of the Hotel and act as a management representative to group clients
Qualifications/Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality or Restaurant Management is preferred At least 2 years of food & beverage experience is required. Previous experience in supervising food & beverage team in a full-service boutique or luxury hotel environment is preferred Basic computer skills is required. Prior experience using Microsoft Office and knowledge of standard restaurant and bar operations technology including Micros and Open Table is preferred Must be able to communicate professionally in English, both written and verbal. Conversational abilities in Spanish also desired Active Food Handler’s certificate is preferred
