$55.4K – $70.1K a year 14 hours ago Qualifications Hospitality Sales Mid-level Bachelor’s degree Beverage sales Computer skills 2 years Communication skills Hotel experience Full Job Description Summary The Junior Catering & Conference Service Manager is part Profit/Loss responsible for all events at the Boca, in conjunction with the Vice President of Catering & Banquets. The principal priorities and responsibilities are as follows: Banquet/Conference Operations, Administration, Working relationships, Communication, Standard Management Norms, Support, Oversight, and Supervision of events and clients. Essential Functions Work closely with conference services and catering teams, hotel meeting services, hospitality amenities, and special VIP requests. Communicate and enforce contractual agreements pertaining to meeting space, food and beverage, and special concessions. Create detailed event orders to meet the specifications of both the client and The Boca Raton. Maintain proper documentation of events, changes, and special requests in addition to administrative support to the conference service management team and office. Provide accurate and concise information to all departments. Handle any challenges or concerns immediately. Function as the on-site support for clients, conference service and catering, and operation teams. Internal Relationships Food and Beverage Outlets, Culinary Area, Sales & Marketing Department, Catering/Conference Services/Banquet/Setup/AV Operations, Boca by Design, All Activity, Retail, Support Departments, and Front Office Operations, Engineering. External Relationships Club Members, All Potential Clients, Meeting Planners, Production Companies and Vendors. Qualifications Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace. Working knowledge of Food and Beverage sales as well as Hotel Operations Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to prepare and analyze data, figures and transcriptions prepared on and generated by computer. Must possess computer skills. Education/Experience Requirements Hotel or Hospitality Degree at bachelor’s Level, an unrelated degree with relevant hospitality experience can be considered. Minimum 2 years in Banquet / Catering / Convention / or Food and Beverage related operation. Working knowledge of computer systems. Personal appearance and grooming commensurate with high profile nature of job. Physical Requirements Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity Must be able to properly lift 50 pounds.
