This role is for someone who is interested in developing in the areas of time management, productivity and leadership. This job is salary that includes overtime pay and potential bonus pay based on a 50-55 hour work week. The Zaxby’s Assistant General Manager provides excellent leadership and motivation to ensure that all team members are guest-focused, team-focused, quality-focused. He or she will exercise knowledge of restaurant operations, manage staff resources, provide counsel, develop and coach staff and ensure adherence to our operating standards. He or she will be instrumental in building and maintaining a healthy culture, where people thrive and grow in a positive workplace environment. Compensation is negotiated during the interview process. The posted range of $40-55k is applicable based on experience, potential and overall fit within the company. The pay range includes the potential of quarterly bonuses which are available upon completion of the Zaxby’s certification process.
Responsibilities include:
Oversees the function in the restaurant of orientation, training and performance of management functions to meet or exceed company specified criteria. Hiring and onboarding new team members, including, ensuring Zaxby’s University is completed within 2 weeks for new hires. Maintain “crunchtime” management (software) to ensure labor management standards are met. Maintain “Jolt” management (operations software) to ensure all checklists are being completed and standards are met for (kitchen, FOH and lobby cleanliness). Lead and maintain staff to ensure the highest quality and productivity. Provides performance feedback and recognition to all team members on an ongoing and timely basis with a coaching style. Oversees, models and ensures the daily execution of the Zaxby’s Mission Statement and Core Values. Complies with company policies, practices and procedures and communicates all changes to managers and team members. Works to ensure speed of service goals are achieved and maintained. Performs mock-inspections to ensure store readiness. Responsible for helping to set a positive atmosphere, creating a culture where people want to participate and develop together in a healthy structure.
Requirements:
3+ years of assistant management experience in another concept. This role requires the completion of a high school education or equivalent (college preferred), a valid Class C license to travel between units, a satisfactory background check and 5 panel drug screen, periodic travel, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Our managers work an average of 50-55 hours per week. We expect our Managers to display outstanding customer service and leadership qualities; including the desire to continually develop as a good leader.
Additional requirements:
Candidates must be highly motivated, self-directed, and results driven with strong organizational skills, attention to detail and professional written and verbal communication skills. Requires basic to intermediate mathematical computations, dealing with inventory and cash management. Maintain confidential information, adhere to and enforce company policies, programs, and compliance issues.
