Job :
i9 Sports is expanding its youth sports programs in Polk County and/ NE Hillsborough County, FL and is looking for a responsible, well-organized individual to work with Area Developers and management team to lead the day to day operations and marketing efforts in Polk County and/ NE Hillsborough County, FL. This role will support management ongoing marketing activities, game day operations, and ensuring the highest of brand standards in all areas of involvement. The successful candidate must be high-energy, well organized, and possess strong problem-solving and customer service skills. Ideal candidates will have experience working with kids and a desire to learn sports management. We are a customer service-oriented company so those who have had experience “Wowing” customers have a leg up on the competition. They must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Primary Responsibilities:
Oversee both weekend and sometimes weekday operations of youth sports leagues, and training sessions. Build strong relationships within the community through grassroots marketing tactics including front-facing marketing and customer communication, live in-person events, road sign placement, and flyer distribution. Work with Management to build your team at your venues and create site schedules Serve as the i9 Sports staff (officials, Referees) liaison and trainer Assist w/recruiting, directing volunteer coaches to ensure the i9 Sports experience is delivered to the players and parents. May be required to jump onto athletic field to instruct or officiate (as needed) Actively manage youth sports documentation (practice plans, rules, etc.) Opening Day prep work (equipment and inventory counts), player’s jersey organization Ensure the integrity of the i9 Sports Experience and brand Assist with staff evaluations and development plans Perform other duties and special projects as required Required skills: Ability to work a varied schedule. Must be available to work both weekdays and weekends. Must be comfortable being the team leader, effectively solve problems and have ability to multi-task 3+ years previous work experience with youth sport organizations (i9 Sports preferred) Demonstrated ability to instruct (following practice plans) and officiate youth sports(ages 3-14) including soccer, t-ball, flag football, basketball and Volleyball Highly motivated, high-energy, self-starter who can work independently with a Positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional business relationships. Must possess a valid driver’s license Ability to transport equipment to and from storage and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds). SUV or truck is preferred. Excellent communication skills (face-to-face, written, and verbal) with proficiency in MS Office programs and comfort in learning and using new technology Ability to work from home
Compensation Range:
Assistant Program Manager’s compensation ranges from $18 to $20 per hour (20 – 30 hours per week) depending on demonstrated level of experience. Additional performance-based, bonus income may be available based on experience and after training period. Depending on individual performance and as the territory grows, this position can evolve into more hours and require more weekend and weekday work. All applicants are subject to a National Criminal Background check and will be required to become first aid certified.
