Job Description Manage and organizes activities of the banquet areas and coordinate activities of the Restaurant. Assists F&B Director in achieving department objectives by performing the following duties. As a Banquet Manager, you will: Train staff on proper table service.
Communicate setup, service, and breakdown procedures.
Execute daily staff schedules and breaks.
Coordinate with the sales floor manager on forecasts.
Assign and oversee opening, running, and closing duties.
Ensure adherence to the department schedule and time clock procedures.
Maintain food, beverage, and supply quality control.
Inspect dining areas for safety, sanitation, and security compliance.
Provide excellent guest service.
Manage staff schedules to meet service standards and budgets.
Conduct training and meetings for staff development.
Enforce company policies and disciplinary actions.
Approve discounts and complimentary checks within guidelines.
Prepare revenue forecasts and operate within budget.
Maintain operational manuals and inventory par stock.
Oversee beverage controls and POS system functions.
Track and report missing checks, guest walkouts, and invoices.
Ensure compliance with company and government policies.
Enforce buffet and event cash controls.
Prepare monthly department reports.
Document staff attendance and enforce grooming policies.
Attend manager meetings and recognize staff performance.
Assist restaurant staff during peak hours.
Participate in the company’s Goals & Measurements Program. Supervisory Responsibilities Banquet staff personnel. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Follow instructions without close supervision.
Occasional carrying and lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Must have 1 year of banquet management experience. Must be at least 18 and have a valid FL State Driver’s License.
