Location:

Hilton Pensacola Beach We are looking for an experienced Banquet Manager responsible for managing all banquet functions. This role is responsible for training banquet staff, coordinating food and beverage services, focusing on high-quality service and sanitation. Also, it works directly with clients and guests at the event to ensure that attendees are satisfied with the service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Always approaches all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner by maintaining a positive demeanor.
  • Promotes a positive and caring work environment by addressing and resolving any conflict in a calm and poised manner.
  • Engages and creates a positive experience for guests.
  • Manages all banquet functions.
  • Inspects the set-up of meeting and banquet functions, checking them against the BEOs.
  • Coordinates food and beverage services for events.
  • Works directly with clients and guests at the event to ensure that attendees are satisfied.
  • Manages and assists with the set-up of assigned catered functions, ensuring that the hotel’s standards are met, and advance preparation for services is adequate to allow efficient service.
  • Responds to guests needs in a timely manner, communicating any problems or issues to the F&B Manager.
  • Creates banquet work schedules and banquet reports.
  • Assists in the servicing of functions as needed.
  • Requisition liquor for all banquet bars and maintains proper control over banquet beverage service.
  • Manages and assists with the break down after the completion of functions to ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored properly.
  • Inspects the sanitation of all function space and storage areas to maintain the highest standard of cleanliness and organization throughout the department.
  • Maintains relevant knowledge and ensures that staff is following all state liquor laws.
  • Holds pre-function meetings, and checks staffing and menus, prior to events.
  • Prepares banquet checks and obtains signatures from guest contacts.
  • Assists in set up of audio/visual, as necessary.
  • Stays current and up to date with all hotel’s special events.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications 1. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. 2. Minimum 2 years of banquet and customer service experience required, hospitality industry preferred. 3. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, or scheduled form. 4. Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English in order to communicate with guests and team members. 5. Knowledge of reservation and POS systems. 6. Ability to work with computers and good knowledge of operating software preferred. 7. Must be able to multi-task and be detail oriented. 8. Must be a team player. Help for Employer Information.
