Job Description

Entry Level Office Manager / Medical Assistant 1.3 1.3 out of 5 stars 1500 East Venice Avenue, Venice, FL 34292 Entry level office manager for 2-4 providers. Duties to include cross covering for Medical Assistant when necessary (taking patient vitals, rooming, chart prep, phone calls, prescription refills and cross covering for front desk when necessary (check-in, check-out and scheduling appointments).

Essential Responsibilities:

Upholds, teaches and enforces FKPs Core Values. Lead, Direct, coordinate and manage all administrative and clinical services for one or more physician practice sites. Establishes work procedures and standards to improve efficiency and effective of office operations and ensure accountability Ongoing, identifies opportunities to improve operational processes. Works with Practice Manager to meet/exceed operating budget for office site(s). Oversees office procedures to ensure scheduling and patient follow up activities, maintain full provider schedules. Monitors and audits all office activities to ensure registration accuracy and successful collections. Oversees end of day reconciliation including bank deposits. Ensures that end-of-day clinical activities are satisfactorily completed to include but not limited to: day’s voicemails are handled, bucket items have been touched and handled; chart preps are completed for all patients at least three (3) days prior to appointments. Understands and utilizes regularly scheduled and/or ad hoc narrative statistical and/or other reports to illustrate practice operational and financial practice performance. Demonstrates proficiency in the use of FKP EHR and services as a resource for staff and providers. Provides staff direction to maintain dashboard related activities at defined levels of acceptability. Creates a patient friendly office environment. Ensures high level of patient satisfaction as measured by surveys. Interviews for staff replacements, coaches and counsels employees, oversees time and attendance/payroll activities. Provides site orientation for new staff members. Provides on-going training for staff based on job functions. Participates in the implementation, monitoring and determination of compliance with policy and procedures. Serves as the facility representative for patients, families, visiting physicians and other medical practice representative. Work Environment:

Extensive telephone and computer usage. Extensive oral and written communication. Periodic local travel – must be able to provide own transportation, possess valid driver’s license & insurance coverage’s as required. Use of computer mouse requires repetitive hand and wrist motion. Requires frequent trips to most departments for information exchange. Time off restricted during peak periods. Regular reaching, grasping, and carrying of objects.
