ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Assistant General Manager, you will manage Bar Staff and Venue Staff. In partnership with the General Manager, you’ll help ensure that all daily operations are being handled. You will also focus on promoting, creating, and executing events. Support the Restaurant General Manager in all aspects of daily operations, including finances, personnel, and guest relations. Foster a positive and supportive work environment that motivates team members and drives success. Champion staff development through mentorship and training opportunities. Actively participate in community engagement efforts, collaborating with local vendors and businesses. Oversee day-to-day operations and tackle challenges proactively, ensuring smooth and efficient restaurant operations. Maintain clear and effective communication with team members and the broader community. Uphold the highest standards for quality, service excellence, and brand reputation. These duties are not exhaustive and can be added or reduced depending on experience and role .
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferably, you have at least 5 years of proven Service Industry experience. Ideal candidate will have 3 years of Bar Manager and/or Restaurant Manager experience. Strong liquor and beer knowledge required. General knowledge of labor laws, health codes, safe food handling and sanitation, responsible alcohol service, safety and security systems and procedures, and computer operations. Experience with Toast POS. You can manage and direct the work of others, champion change, and have a passion for training and developing your team. Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
