Full-Time Position Summary:
The Bar Manager is a crucial leadership role overseeing the daily operations of the bar in a fast-paced, high-volume, casual-fine dining environment. This position ensures the implementation of training programs, service protocols, and operational excellence while supporting the Beverage Director’s vision and maintaining a high standard of team performance, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction .
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily bar operations including setup, breakdown, cleanliness, and compliance with sanitation standards.
- Implement bar cleaning protocols, batching processes, and recipe execution standards.
- Ensure product consistency, service timing, and operational flow.
- Assist in maintaining up-to-date and accurate menus across all platforms, including in-house, digital, and third-party sites (e.g., Tabit).
- Execute and maintain proper data entry and accuracy across inventory software (e.
g., Craftable, Tabit).
Team & Scheduling:
- Manage scheduling and labor cost tracking in coordination with the Beverage Director.
- Lead hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development of bar staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and accountability coaching.
- Monitor staff adherence to uniform, service standards, and safety policies.
- Lead team briefings, pre-shift meetings, and regular training check-ins. Training & Execution
- Roll out Beverage Program updates as directed by the Beverage Director.
- Train staff on batching, cocktails, product knowledge, service timing, and presentation.
- Implement SOPs for cleaning, stocking, and bar service flow.
Interdepartmental Coordination:
- Work closely with Events, Kitchen, and FOH management to coordinate special events and beverage service requirements.
- Act as primary liaison for the Dunesider location’s bar operations.
- Maintain professional and responsive communication with all departments.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum 3 years of bar management in a high-volume, upscale environment.
- Proven team leadership and training experience.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Familiarity with bar inventory systems, POS (Tabit), and scheduling tools.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
Preferred:
- Experience managing multi-venue operations.
- Familiarity with Craftable or equivalent beverage platforms.
- Background in mixology or advanced cocktail training.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$65,000.00
- $75,000.
