The ideal candidate will have previous hotel experience and a strong understanding of hotel operations, including front desk management and inventory control. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to a variety of tasks and responsibilities. The Assistant Operations Manager will assist in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while covering any staffing shortages as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the hotel, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance departments. Manage staffing schedules and provide support for any shortages or staff absences. Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing issues, resolving complaints, and ensuring high-quality service standards. Supervise inventory control, ensuring adequate stock of supplies for hotel operations. Monitor and assist with budgeting and cost control initiatives. Perform administrative duties, such as updating employee schedules and maintaining operational reports. Collaborate with the Operations Manager to improve operational efficiency and guest experiences. Maintain a flexible approach, adjusting shifts and working hours as needed to cover all areas of the hotel. Provide training and support to new and existing staff members.
Qualifications:
Previous hotel or hospitality experience is required. Strong understanding of hotel operations, including front desk and inventory management. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate staffing needs. Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on guest relations. Proficiency with hotel management software and basic office tools.
