The Assistant Restaurant Manager plays a vital role in overseeing daily operations and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This position requires a dedicated individual with excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills to support the Restaurant General Manager in achieving business goals.

Responsibilities:
Operational Management:

Assist in managing day-to-day restaurant operations to maintain efficiency and quality service during peak hours. Supervise staff to ensure adherence to operational standards, policies, and procedures. Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships to ensure adequate stock for smooth operations.

Staff Training and Development:

Train and mentor staff to enhance their skills and provide exceptional service, focusing on efficiency and customer satisfaction. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and recommend training programs to improve staff performance.

Customer Service and Satisfaction:

Uphold a customer-centric approach by addressing guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally. Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction through personalized service, attentive staff, and a welcoming environment.

Financial Management:

Assist in budget preparation and financial planning to achieve revenue and profitability targets. Monitor sales, labor costs, and other expenses to identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.

Health and Safety Compliance:

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and food safety guidelines. Implement and oversee health and safety protocols to maintain a safe and clean working environment for staff and guests.

Scheduling and Staffing:

Assist in creating and managing employee schedules to maintain appropriate staffing levels and optimize labor costs. Coordinate staff assignments and rotations to ensure efficient workflow and excellent customer service during peak times.

Administrative Tasks:

Assist in administrative duties, such as payroll processing, inventory management, and reporting. Maintain accurate records related to employee attendance, sales data, and operational reports.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred. Previous experience in a high volume restaurant or relevant hospitality industry experience required.

Skills and Abilities:

Strong leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in restaurant management software and Microsoft Office applications. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.

Working Conditions:

Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Willingness to work in a fast-paced, high volume restaurant environment.
