Position Overview:

The Assistant Operations Manager supports the Operations Manager in overseeing the daily functions of the venue, ensuring smooth operations, staff coordination, and guest satisfaction. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the high standards of the attraction, assisting with the supervision of the operations team, and driving efficiency across all operational activities. The Assistant Operations Manager will help manage staff, implement operational procedures, and ensure the venue runs safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
    Operational Support:

    Assist the Operations Manager in overseeing all daily operations of the venue, including staff scheduling, facility management, and guest service. Ensure operational procedures are followed and updated as needed to improve efficiency and safety. Help manage inventory levels for supplies, ensuring stock is sufficient and available as required.

      Staff Management & Supervision:

      Supervise operational staff during shifts, ensuring proper execution of tasks and adherence to company policies. Support the Operations Manager in training staff on safety protocols, operational procedures, and guest service expectations. Assist in performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff to promote growth and efficiency. Coordinate with the Operations Supervisor to manage day-to-day assignments and workload distribution for the operations team.

        Guest Experience:

        Ensure a positive guest experience by monitoring the operational environment, addressing issues, and ensuring quick resolutions. Assist in handling guest complaints or concerns, escalating any significant issues to the Operations Manager. Implement strategies to streamline guest flow and minimize wait times, ensuring guests have a seamless experience from entry to exit.

          Facility Maintenance & Safety:

          Assist the Operations Manager in coordinating with maintenance teams to ensure the venue remains clean, safe, and functional at all times. Regularly inspect the venue and report any facility issues or hazards to the Operations Manager. Ensure all safety protocols are being followed by staff, and work with the Operations Manager to manage emergency preparedness procedures.

            Reporting & Documentation:

            Maintain detailed logs of daily operations, including any incidents, staff attendance, or maintenance issues. Assist in the preparation of operational reports for management review. Ensure all operational paperwork, including scheduling, timesheets, and safety documents, is accurately maintained and submitted in a timely manner.

              Operational Improvement:

              Proactively identify areas for improvement in venue operations and collaborate with the Operations Manager to implement solutions. Help implement and monitor KPIs to ensure operational efficiency and guest satisfaction. Work with the operations team to introduce new processes that streamline work and improve safety.

              Qualifications:

              Bachelor’s degree in business management, hospitality, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in operations, preferably in the entertainment, attractions, or hospitality industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams.

              • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
              • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
              • Knowledge of safety and compliance standards within a high-traffic venue.
              • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

              Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

              Preferred Qualifications:

              Experience working in a high-volume, guest-focused environment.

              • Familiarity with operational systems and technologies used in large venues.

              PHYSICAL DEMANDS

              ) Job functions require a mix of standing, walking, and bending, and being on feet for long periods of time. Use of computers, tablets, smart phones, and other electronic equipment. Ability to lift, push, or pull 10-20 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 50 pounds (with assistance). May need to lift up to 30 lbs. overhead occasionally.

              WORK ENVIRONMENT

              Occasional work outdoors may be required. During the course of regular shifts or during special events, Team Members at times may experience prolonged exposure to the following: flashing light sources that may rapidly change in intensity, effects that would undermine normal visual perception, loud music and sound effects, vibrations from audio and haptic systems, manufactured scents, and smoke and fog effects.
