Key Responsibilities:
Training and Coaching:
Continuous training, coaching, and discipline of banquet staff and bartenders.
Event Execution:
Ensuring room setups are completed on time and according to event diagrams.
Client Interaction:
Meeting client requirements as detailed in Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
Staffing:
Managing staffing for event setup, execution, and breakdown, including third-party contractors.
Quality Control:
Overseeing food and beverage operations to ensure client satisfaction and quality standards.
Inventory Management:
Conducting regular inventory checks and placing orders for supplies.
Health and Safety:
Maintaining high health department and internal sanitation audit scores.
Equipment Maintenance:
Ensuring cleanliness and functionality of service/setup equipment.
Payroll Processing:
Handling payroll timekeeping for in-house and temporary workers.
Supervision:
Interviewing, hiring, training, and managing banquet employees.
Qualifications:
Experience:
At least two years of management experience in a high-volume banquet facility.
Communication Skills:
Excellent oral, written, and digital communication skills.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Availability:
Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Financial Acumen:
Ability to read and use Profit and Loss statements and financial reports.
Organizational Skills:
Strong organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills.
Certifications:
Serve-safe certification preferred.
Background Check:
Must pass a background check.
Safety Knowledge:
Understanding and enforcing safety rules and company procedures.
Physical Demands:
Regular movement around the facility, standing for long hours, occasional lifting, bending, and stooping. Work may be required inside or outside the building, depending on event needs. This role also involves daily contact with various team members, including the Executive Chef, General Manager, and Event Coordinator.
