THE OPPORTUNITY

We are searching for an Assistant Service Manager to join our growing service operations at our Harvey, Louisiana location. The Assistant Service Manager will be responsible for working with other employees and customers to resolve any issues and ensure all service repairs are being performed efficiently.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION

Promote a safety-first culture; maintain a safe working environment for all employees Manage Service Technician workload and/or dispatch Field Service Technicians Manage job performance for field and shop service work orders Execute operational initiatives in coordination with the Service Manager and General Service Manager Work directly with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues Establish positive relationships with customers Assist Service Manager in tracking/managing the financial performance of the service department Assist Service Manager in supporting, training, motivating, and monitoring performance of the Service Department staff. Assist Service Manager in attracting, developing, and retaining talent for the store. Assist Service Manager with maintaining service/customer areas with focus on comfort, cleanliness and proper displays/purchase information. Coordinate with other departments and managers.

CAT MOST IMPORTANT QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

High school diploma or equivalency; bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, project management, or related field preferred; or combination of education and relevant experience

REQUIRED

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, Outlook, etc

REQUIRED

Ability to handle multiple tasks in an effectively, timely, and professional manner

REQUIRED

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

REQUIRED

Strong organizational skills

HIGHLY PREFERRED

Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the marine industry; preferably in a management role

HIGHLY PREFERRED

Well-developed communication and organizational skills

HIGHLY PREFERRED

Proficiency with computers and related software

JOB FACTS SHIFT

8am – 5pm Monday – Friday; you will be required to be On Call Will require physical movement as listed in the job description
