! Overview The Food Services Manager manages all facets of food services for a large U.S. Government facility Life and Logistics Support Services contract located OCONUS with multiple locations. The duties of this job are not comprehensive.
Responsibilities Major Job Activities:
Responsible for managing, monitoring and tracking program food services. Responsible for allocating and managing food service staff resources according to changing needs. Identify problem areas and respond to mission requirements to perform task order requirements. Manage food services operations for all sites. Control resources; monitor food service staff proficiency and qualifications; monitor the locations and activities of food service assets; and coordinate the flow of information to and from program staff and USG representatives. Resolve program food service-related issues. Perform additional duties and projects assigned.
Skills:
Demonstrated working knowledge of food service activities for a comparable operation. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage food services and logistics staff. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules. Ability to fully execute the food service duties and responsibilities. Excellent analytical, organizational, problem solving and time management skills. Expert computer skills, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to become an active and functioning member of a team. Ability to be innovative and be an agent for change. Good verbal and written communication skills to direct employees, prepare reports for upper management and facilitate/disseminate information.
Relevant overseas facilities management experience. Previous international experience and previous work experience in harsh environmental conditions. Experience working with Contractor. Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective.
Material & Equipment Directly Used:
Windows Computer and associated software, cell phone, two-way radio, vehicle and other office equipment as needed/required.
Work Schedule:
Work schedule for this position is 4 months on and 1 month off. Qualifications Education /
Certifications:
An Associate’s Degree in Food and Beverage, or Hospitality field or discipline Valid driver’s license from home of record. Valid US Passport Already possess a U.S. Government (USG) issued Secret security clearance or be able obtain a favorable USG Secret clearance prior to being hired is required for the position. Must maintain eligibility at the required clearance level for the duration of the task order. U.S. citizenship is required.
Experience:
Food services support management experience in providing such services to large non-military operations equivalent to college campus cafeterias and/or large restaurants.
