$38.5K – $47.3K a year 14 hours ago Qualifications Hospitality Management ServSafe Mid-level 3 years TABC Certification Organizational skills Guest services Leadership Full Job Description Position Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Assistant General Manager to join our team at Five O Fore Golf + Entertainment, a leading golf entertainment venue in the heart of New Orleans! The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager in overseeing daily operations of a dynamic golf and entertainment venue, including hospitality, golf services, foodbeverage, events, and facility management. The AGM helps lead the team to deliver a premier guest experience, maintain operational excellence, and drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

LeadershipOperations Assist the General Manager in managing day-to-day operations across all departments: golf/game services, foodbeverage, events, guest services, and facilities. Lead and motivate a diverse team including department leads, supervisors, and hourly staff. Ensure adherence to company policies, health and safety regulations, and brand standards. Guest Experience Champion exceptional guest service by leading through example and coaching the team. Resolve guest complaints or escalated issues promptly and professionally. Monitor and enhance the overall guest journey, from check-in to game play to dining. Staff DevelopmentScheduling Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members. Assisting with team schedules to ensure optimal coverage. Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance evaluations, and team meetings. Promote a positive, fun, and inclusive workplace culture. FinancialInventory Oversight Assist in managing financial goals including revenue, labor costs, and controllables. Monitor daily sales and labor reports, adjusting staffing and operations as needed. Oversee inventory procedures, ordering, and product loss prevention for bar, kitchen, and retail. EventProgram Management Collaborate with the Events and Sales team to execute private and corporate events smoothly. Support marketing initiatives, seasonal promotions, leagues, and special programs. FacilityTechnology Ensure all areas of the venue are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Partner with the facilities team on preventive maintenance and repairs. Troubleshoot technology used in game systems, POS, or audio/visual systems.

Requirements/Qualifications:

3+ years of management experience in hospitality, foodbeverage, entertainment, or sports/recreation. Proven leadership skills with a hands-on, team-first mentality. Strong understanding of operational metrics and financial reporting. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume, guest-facing environment. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred:

Experience in venues with both foodbeverage and recreational activities (golf, bowling, arcade, etc.). Knowledge of golf or sports entertainment operations is a plus. ServSafe and/or TABC (or state-specific) certifications. Working Conditions Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of the business. The ability to stand, walk, and move around the facility for extended periods.
