We are looking for an experienced and motivated Back of House (BOH) Manager to lead our kitchen operations and help build a high-performing team rooted in excellence and hospitality. Job Summary The Back of House Manager is responsible for all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cleanliness, team leadership, safety compliance, and coordination with the front-of-house team. We’re seeking someone who can maintain high standards under pressure and bring both structure and creativity to the kitchen. Pay Competitive compensation based on experience and industry benchmarks. Full-time position Schedule 8-hour shifts Weekends and holidays as needed Flexibility required Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations with a focus on quality, efficiency, and consistency Supervise, schedule, train, and motivate kitchen staff Maintain health, food safety, and sanitation standards at all times Manage kitchen inventory, food costs, and ordering while minimizing waste Coordinate closely with FOH team to ensure smooth and timely service Inspect and maintain kitchen equipment, arrange repairs as needed Monitor prep, plating, and presentation standards Foster a positive and productive team culture Ensure compliance with all local and state food service regulations Keep detailed records of inventory usage, kitchen productivity, and expenses Help implement systems and procedures that support long-term growth Requirements Proven experience as a BOH Manager, Kitchen Manager, or similar leadership role Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food handling, and safety standards Excellent leadership and organizational skills Ability to lead and train a team in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen Familiarity with restaurant software such as Toast or DoorDash (preferred) Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs Must complete Louisiana state-required ATC (Alcohol & Tobacco Control) training one week after first pay period. Must complete state-approved Food Safety training and certification Culinary or hospitality degree is a plus but not required Why Work at Bayo Social?
