The ideal candidate will possess initiative, openness to learn, creativity, and a smile.
A creative business outlook and innovative sales skills are encouraged for this position. The Front of House Manager’s ultimate responsibility is to ensure that customers are satisfied while managing back-of-house priorities.
Job responsibilities:
Lead a team of servers and/or baristas while ensuring high standards of service and cleanliness. Customer service and interpersonal skills to create positive relationships Collaborate with office, kitchen, and cake staff to ensure seamless communication between the front and back of house. Strong organizational skills to keep things running smoothly Problem-solving skills for unexpected circumstances, such as inclement weather closures or unhappy customers Answering store phone calls regarding custom cake orders, catering events, wedding deliveries, etc. Taking and/or facilitating all food orders served in the cafe Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the restaurant environment. Create seasonal drinks, seasonal menus, & marketing pamphlets Take photos and videos for social media
Requirements:
Must be a morning person! Open availability Tuesdays – Saturdays from 7:00AM – 3:00PM Baseline knowledge of traditional espresso beverages Flexible, dependable, and wear many hats Must be in town during Thanksgiving, Christmas and Mardi Gras Qualifications Proven experience in a management role within the food industry, preferably in a coffee shop and/or cafe. Strong customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively. Knowledge of food management practices and inventory control systems. Experience in team management, including staff training and development. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
