Job Description

Operations F&B Manager Ormond Manor 13786 River Road, Destrehan, LA 70047

Duties:
  • Oversees the Food and Beverage operations for Restaurant and events while working with the Chef and Operations Manager
  • Plan, organize, and execute various events such as weddings, corporate meetings, fundraisers, and social gatherings
  • Coordinate with clients to understand their event requirements and preferences
  • Select and book appropriate venues for events, such as hotels, banquet halls, or outdoor spaces
  • Arrange catering services and menu selection to meet the needs of the event
  • Manage event budgets and ensure all expenses are within the allocated budget
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of services and products
  • Oversee event setup, including decorations, seating arrangements, audiovisual equipment, and other necessary items
  • Ensure smooth execution of events by managing event timelines and resolving any issues that may arise
  • Provide excellent guest services by addressing any concerns or special requests during events
  • the Events Coordinator helps with the scheduling, accepting deposits planning, coordination, and successful execution of all events, private facility rental events
  • Answers phones, directs calls to appropriate individuals, and prepares messages
  • Setup up phone calls and tours for potential clients
  • Act quickly and accurately to resolve guest, employee or vendor problems that arise prior to and during each event
  • Coordinate and assist with setup/breakdown of all Events supplies, including the return of items to storage areas after on-site in coordination with staff
  • schedule FOH and event staff, assist HR director with payroll issues
  • Maintain records in the event management, bed and breakfast and POS software systems
  • Provide customer service to bed and breakfast guests and assist with Bed and Breakfast check in/out
Experience:
  • Previous experience in event planning or management, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Knowledge of catering operations, banquet services, and hotel event management
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, vendors, and team members
  • Attention to detail to ensure all aspects of an event are properly executed
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Experience in fundraising events or restaurant event management is a plus. We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
