We are the trusted supplier to many of the most widely known brands in the country and throughout the world. Our Company headquarters and primary distribution facility is located in Bourne MA, with several pier, tank house, and pounding facilities located in downeast Maine.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Seafood Division Manager to lead and oversee our wholesale seafood division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in seafood procurement, production, inventory management, wholesale distribution, and team leadership. This role is responsible for the overall performance of the division, including sourcing, pricing strategy, customer service, compliance with safety standards, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Division Oversight:

Manage day-to-day operations of the seafood wholesale division, including procurement, sales, distribution, and customer service.

Multi-Site Coordination:

Work with remote Company sites to manage procurement, pricing, inventory transfers, and logistics.

Vendor Relations:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international seafood suppliers to ensure consistent product availability and competitive pricing.

Sales Strategy:

Set and achieve sales targets. Work with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and maintain strong relationships with key accounts.

Inventory & Quality Control:

Oversee inventory levels, monitor product quality, implement FIFO (First-In-First-Out) procedures, and minimize shrinkage and spoilage.

Compliance:

Ensure adherence to all food safety regulations (HACCP, FDA, USDA, etc.), sustainability standards, and company policies.

Team Leadership:

Hire, train, and supervise a team of buyers, sales representatives, warehouse staff, and delivery personnel.

Budget Management:

Develop and manage the division’s budget, control expenses, and maximize profitability.

Reporting:

Generate and analyze reports on sales performance, customer satisfaction, inventory turnover, and supplier performance.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in seafood wholesale, distribution, or related food industry. Proven leadership experience managing teams and operations in a fast-paced 24/7 environment. Strong knowledge of seafood products, seasonal availability, and industry trends. Experience with ERP systems, inventory software, and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent negotiation, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends, as needed. Valid driver’s license; ability to travel regionally to visit company sites, suppliers and clients as needed. HACCP certification or willingness to obtain.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Experience with sustainable seafood sourcing practices. Bilingual in English and [Spanish/other relevant language] is a plus.

Work Environment:

Office and warehouse setting with exposure to cold storage environments. Fast-paced, deadline-driven, and physically demanding at times (lifting up to 50 lbs). Occasional travel to docks, trade shows, and client sites.
