Job Description
Assistant Manager Job Description As a Gary Rome Carwash AssistantManager, you?ll deliver WOW service to every customer and ensure apositive and enjoyable customer experience every day. You should alwaysstrive for the best output of vehicles while maintaining site safety,cleanliness, customer engagement, and membership sales. You areconsidered key carriers and manage individual shifts including openingand closing duties with no other member of management present. You arealso responsible for training and managing employees at your site and onyour management shift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
May train new staff or assist management with this process. Coordinatesand oversees the day-to-day workflow of subordinate staff. As requestedby the General Manager, conducts, or assists with performanceevaluations that are timely and constructive. Assists the GM withemployment actions, including discipline and termination of employees inaccordance with company policy. Monitors site performance identifyingand facilitating opportunities to increase productivity and efficiency.
Manages daily aspects of the site and its staff to ensure projects arecompleted and goals and customer needs are met. Collaborates with othermanagers to plan, direct, and coordinate programs and projects.
Collaborates with other managers to analyze costs, benefits, and lossesof company profits. Drafts, submits, and presents various performanceand management as needed. Manages inventory, approving and facilitatingpurchases as needed. Manages conflicts and resolves complaints about orwithin the site. Must always display the 5 Old School Values. Thosevalues are Courtesy, Hustle, Ownership, Pride and Trust. Help membersand customers select products based on their needs. Hustle, smile andshow good engagement with staff and customers. Train and coach crewmembers on a regular basis with a heavy focus on key areas such as:sales, customer service and facility cleanliness/ safety. Master theroutines of opening and closing the location. Understand back office andPOS procedures. Engage in ground maintenance activities including thegeneral cleaning and upkeep of building and equipment, includingbuffing, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, washing windows. Assistother departments as requested, including unloading and storingsupplies. Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning as directed by GMwith the company provided tools, equipment, and supplies. Maintainknowledge and implement current sales, promotions, and company policies.
Adhere to all health, safety, and security practices in the performanceof the job. Any and all other duties as assigned by the carwash GM.
