Hours:

Part-Time, 3.5 hours per day (four days a week)

Lunches Served:

Approximately 100 students (Grades K-6)

Position Summary:

The School Cafeteria Manager is responsible for preparing, serving, and coordinating one daily hot lunch option for approximately 100 elementary school students. This position ensures that meals are nutritious, timely, and compliant with safety and sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and prepare daily hot lunches in accordance with the school’s menu and nutrition guidelines. Serve meals efficiently and courteously to students in Grades K-6. Ensure proper portion control and maintain consistency in food quality. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and cafeteria area, including dishwashing and sanitation duties. Monitor inventory and inform administration of needed food and supply orders. Maintain compliance with local health and safety regulations and school policies. Collaborate with school staff regarding student allergies, dietary needs, or lunch counts.

Qualifications:

Previous food preparation experience (school or institutional setting preferred). Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods. Dependable, organized, and able to work efficiently. ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred. Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
