Kitchen Manager Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a positive working attitude with the kitchen crew.
  • Excel in areas of health safety, sanitation codes and industry standards.
  • Work with the Sous-Chef / Team to maintain consistent foodservice standards.
  • Develops/Maintains a team that executes the menu consistently through station preparation, appropriate forecasting and inventory management.
  • Manages labor and food costs, inventory needs and administrative functions.
  • Personnel matters include hiring, scheduling, coordinating staff training and ongoing employee evaluations.
  • Culinary success including developing interesting weekly specials, seasonal menus, brunch items and functions.

Kitchen Manager Qualifications:
  • Verifiable high volume kitchen management experience is required.
  • Leadership and positive team attitude.
  • Basic knowledge of Excel and Word programs.
  • A willingness to both learn and teach in a mutually respectful work environment.
