drive change in our company and industry through action and implementation The Kitchen Manager is responsible for managing kitchen staff, ensuring food quality and safety, and maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment. The Kitchen Manager also collaborates with the GM/AGM on menu creation and pricing, considering guest preferences and product availability to optimize profitability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the preparation and cooking of breakfast and dinner, ensuring timely and high-quality service.
With the GM/AGM recruit, train, and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, and dishwashers. Schedule shifts and manage staff performance.
Collaborate with the GM/AGM to develop and update menus, considering seasonal ingredients and guest preferences.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage budgets to minimize waste and control costs.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
Plan and execute group functions, including special events and catering services, ensuring seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation, conducting regular inspections and taste tests.
Address guest inquiries and feedback, striving to enhance their dining experience.
Ensures areas of the food and beverage operation are clean, properly stocked and well maintained.
Demonstrates strong leadership skills with a professional attitude towards staff.
Ensures food and beverage operations remain within budget and achieve profitability.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on the demands of the business.

Required Education and Experience:
Minimum of two years’ experience as a Kitchen Manager or similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Knowledge of culinary skills and food preparation techniques.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Experience managing inventory and control costs.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Physical demands and working conditions: Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally using a hand truck.
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance
Long periods of standing, bending and kneeling
Requires the use of hands/fingers to handle or feel
