Job Summary:
As a Food Service Manager , you will manage the operations and associates at the assigned location in the preparation of quality food items adhering to recipes, quantities, and prep food & health safety standards while maintaining the cleanliness, sanitization, and maintenance of all equipment, work areas and quality food standards for customers and associates. You will manage the department to ensure appropriate quantities of products are on hand and stored appropriately preventing loss.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Manages and schedules department associates on assigned shift and train/mentor new associates. Promotes an ethical workplace culture of recognition and appreciation based on performance expectations. Oversees the preparation and cooking for high volume food service. Ensures self and associates satisfactorily perform a versatile of cooking skillsets (frying, roasting, grilling, sautéing, braising, baking, steaming, etc.). Proves to be capable of preparing a variety of food genres (Italian, Mexican, Chinese, American, Southern, etc.) Monitors food waste management and ensures minimum loss and assists store manager in determining price points for profitability; Monitors proper labeling and storage of food products Directs associates in the appropriate quantities and quality of meals served during dedicated times. Directs and demonstrates safe and proficient knife skills Oversees equipment sanitation and maintenance where applicable Maintains high sanitary, hygienic conditions in both the work area and self. Maintains proper recordkeeping, as applicable. Performs all tasks safely and assume ownership for Customer and Associate safety in accordance with safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures. Monitors supply of products and process orders timely ensuring quantities are maintained. Manages safety or other problems immediately in accordance to company standard. Maintains compliance with legal and regulatory compliance including, but not limited to OSHA, DOL, etc. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. 2 years of experience in managing food preparation, kitchen, or restaurants, and/or relevant experience required.

Essential Physical Requirements:
Must have adequate vision, speech, hearing, and physical ability to perform essential job duties. Must be able to have full body rotation/mobility, i.e., bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching for stocking and maintaining supplies, etc. Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 20 pounds constantly and up to 40 pounds occasionally. Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift. Must be able to push and pull products as needed. Must be able to handle equipment used for in kitchen and preparation areas. Must have full hand usage to prepare food in a safe manner. May need to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis. Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.
