Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Bakery/Deli Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our combined bakery and deli department. This role is responsible for managing staff, maintaining high product quality, ensuring food safety compliance, driving sales, and delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a passion for food, merchandising, and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the bakery and deli departments. Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate department staff. Monitor and ensure compliance with health and food safety regulations (e.g., proper food handling, sanitation, and labeling). Maintain optimal inventory levels and conduct regular stock rotation and ordering. Create appealing product displays and merchandising to maximize sales. Develop and implement promotional and seasonal plans in coordination with store leadership. Ensure consistent product quality, freshness, and presentation. Monitor department budget, minimize waste, and control labor and supply costs. Respond to customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback with professionalism and urgency.
