The Cafe Manager provides oversight and leadership to the front-of-house team. They coach and mentor; teach standards of fast, friendly, and helpful service; and guide the FOH team to create a positive experience for our guests. They ensure that all processes and procedures are up to date and clearly communicated. Responsibilities The Factory Cafe Manager oversees day to day operations, tour schedule and team management for the Factory Cafe. Acts as the role model for outstanding service and consistently monitors, coaches, and encourages team members to meet FBC’s service standards. Assists in training staff on processes, policies, and procedures Helps create, implement, and train tour curriculum Provides Leadership/HR with feedback regarding employee reviews, promotions and disciplinary action Participates in interviewing and hiring Responsible for Inventory, ordering and administrative duties Maintains high cleanliness standards consistently throughout the store in the areas of store appearance, merchandise/retail goods, and equipment Adheres to all food safety and occupational safety protocols and procedures Handles guest complaints and resolves concerns in a professional manner Additional tasks as requested Qualifications 1+ years of supervisory experience preferred 1+ years of service/retail experience preferred Ability to lead others Open-minded; thrives in an environment of change Ability to maintain positivity and composure during all types of situations Alignment with FBC’s mission, vision, and values Working conditions Will require evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime as necessary Primarily indoor work, but with varying climatic conditions Varying conditions within the restaurant, including but not limited to wet floors, sharp objects, brulee torches, hot liquids, etc. as normally found in a restaurant/kitchen environment Physical requirements Standing for extended periods Solo lift 50 lb. regularly Team lift 70 lb. occasionally Repetitive tasks with infrequent rest period This job description is designed to outline primary duties, qualifications, and job scope.
