Located next to the Cannon Ballers stadium, we’re a place where guests come for the food but stay for the vibe — and we’re looking for a General Manager who can help lead and grow that experience. This is not your average GM position. While day-to-day operations are key, we’re also looking for someone who brings a big-picture mindset, a collaborative leadership style, and a passion for people. This person will help shape culture, streamline systems, and create unforgettable guest experiences — from regular lunch service to high-profile private events.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & People Manage and mentor our Food Operations Manager (FOM) and Service Manager (SM) Own the creation and maintenance of weekly schedules for FOH and BOH leadership Be a hands-on, visible leader who cultivates a positive and high-performing team culture Act as an Ambassador of the restaurant , representing the Tavern with professionalism and pride at all times Hospitality & Guest Experience Maintain and elevate the guest experience through every shift and service style Oversee and lead guest recovery efforts with grace and urgency when issues arise Set the tone for warm, genuine hospitality across every touchpoint Play an active role in private events and special occasion coordination , collaborating with our larger events team for seamless execution Bar & Beverage Coordination Coordinate with bar team and brewery partners to ensure product alignment and bar program execution Support seasonal menu rollouts, specialty cocktails, and beer collaborations as needed Ensure full compliance with ABC regulations , including training, tracking, and accountability Operations & Compliance Oversee all health inspections , ensuring compliance with food safety, sanitation, and local health department regulations Manage all third-party service providers alongside ownership Track and manage inventory of kitchen equipment, crockery, and service wares Ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and readiness of all FOH and BOH areas Financial & Administrative Oversight Own financial accountability for the restaurant’s bottom line , including performance metrics, labor costs, COGS, and budgets Collaborate with Corey (Financial Officer) and Mark (Operations Officer) on: Ordering and labor budgets Staffing plans Approve and manage all cleaning/janitorial supply orders to support service and kitchen operations Maintain clear records and documentation related to staffing, events, budgets, and vendor coordination
Ideal Candidate:
3+ years of General Manager or senior leadership experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant Strong understanding of restaurant systems, hospitality service standards, and kitchen operations Knowledge of bar programs, ABC compliance, and event execution is a plus Confident managing guest feedback and leading guest recovery conversations Experience in inventory, scheduling, and budget management A hospitality-first mindset — approachable, accountable, and obsessed with the guest experience Comfortable being the go-to person: a strong presence in the room, in the kitchen, and in the community
