Assistant Housing Manager 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars 2204 Bay Street, Morehead City, NC 28557 We are looking for the right candidate to join our team assisting our Housing Manager and performing admissions and occupancy functions. Responsibilities Performs annual re-examinations for public housing tenants Meets with tenant to verify information and continuing eligibility in the program Accompanies tenant for the move-in inspection to ensure unit is properly prepared and ready to move-in Meets with tenants to discuss matters regarding occupancy, late payments, or occupancy problems Complies data and determines new rent amount and notify tenant of new amount Reviews and processes applications including criminal and reference checks Conducts move-in progress, including lease execution Responsible for rent collection process Coordinates vacant unit turnover process with Maintenance Department Conducts annual and periodic housekeeping inspections and submits work orders as needed Sets up resident files and maintains required file documentation Handles resident complaints and administers grievance procedure Maintains tenant accounts using automated system including delinquent accounts, tenant charges, fees, and installment payments. Qualifications High School Diploma is required Additional study or training in social work, business, property management or related field preferred Possess or have ability to obtain Occupancy Specialist certificate within one year from an accredited agency Must possess a valid North Carolina driver license with a clean driving record Ability to maintain confidentiality in all assignments as mandated
