Job Summary:

Catawba Two Kings Casino is seeking an Assistant Cage Manager to support the Cage Manager in overseeing all aspects of the casino cage operations, including main, bank, front windows, markers, and satellite banks. This role ensures that all transactions are executed accurately and in compliance with internal controls, gaming regulations, and anti-money laundering (AML) laws. The Assistant Cage Manager plays a key role in staffing, training, supervising personnel, and ensuring exceptional guest service standards are maintained.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the management of day-to-day cage operations, including oversight of cashier functions, vault operations, and chip bank. Ensure all transactions are compliant with internal policies, state/federal gaming laws, and Title 31 anti-money laundering (AML) requirements. Supervise and support cage supervisors and cashiers, addressing performance issues, resolving disputes, and ensuring adequate coverage across shifts. Monitor cage inventory levels (cash chips, TITO, etc.) and ensure all balancing procedures are followed at shift close and drop times. Assist in scheduling, payroll, performance evaluations of cage personnel. Serve as acting Cage Manager during their absence, taking full responsibility of operations and decision-making. Partner with compliance, audit, accounting, and surveillance departments during reviews, investigations or variances. Help lead training programs to develop staff knowledge, service standards, and regulatory compliance. Assist in implementing process improvements and internal control updates as needed. Investigate and resolve guest or cashier discrepancies with professionalism and discretion. Preform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED, required; associates or bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a closely related field, preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of casino cage experience with at least two (2) years in a supervisory role. In-depth knowledge of casino cage operations, Title 31, anti-money laundering (AML), and applicable gaming regulations. Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Catawba Gaming License. Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Strong leadership skills, including coaching, conflict resolution, and team development. Excellent math, cash handling, and reconciliation skills. Proficiency in cage management systems and Microsoft Office applications, email usage and excel spreadsheets. Organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints, and attention to detail. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, using the English language. Ability to work an alternate schedule as needed, including weekends and holidays. Ability to work in a loud fast-paced environment (may occasionally be exposed to second-hand cigarette smoke). Physical Requirements Must be able to stand for extended periods of time/ Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Must be able to communicate in a noisy environment.
