Catering Manager Board & Batten Events 964 Marvin Hedrick Road, Lexington, NC 27292 Board & Batten in Lexington is looking to add a Catering Manager to our team! The Catering Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing the catering at all events, ensuring a high quality of food and service.

Key Responsibilities:

Hire, train, supervise, and schedule catering staff. Ensure food quality, hygiene standards, and adherence to health and safety regulations. Manage costs, track expenses, and ensure adherence to budgets. Run kitchen during all events. Work with the Event Manager to ensure smooth operations during events. Shop for all ingredients to prepare the event menu. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and client specifications. Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness. Maintain adequate stock levels of supplies and ingredients. Maintain clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, etc. Occasional building upkeep, as needed. Perform other kitchen duties, as assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3- 5 years working as a Catering Manager, Restaurant Manager or similar role. Strong communication skills for interacting with clients, staff, and vendors. Ability to handle unexpected challenges and ensure smooth event execution. Ability to provide exceptional service and meet client expectations. Knowledge of banquet and catering operations is a plus. Proficiency with kitchen tools, including knives and other food preparation equipment. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Flexible working during weekends and holidays. Certification in hospitality or culinary management is preferred. Must have a driver’s license and reliable transportation. $50,000 Annual Salary, Full Time with
