We’re Growing!! Currently seeking a_ Kitchen Manager-in-training _ at our Downtown Durham location, with the opportunity to grow with us there or at a future location. PRESS specializes in a unique combination of high-quality craft coffee & cocktail programs alongside an evolving, scratch-made kitchen menu that demonstrates our emphasis in being a European Inspired, Carolina Made café’ & crêperie. We are an upscale all-day café, providing the opportunity to enjoy varying menu items and guest experiences across day parts and days of the week. This is a growth-oriented concept with the opportunity for you to develop and share in that growth with us. As Kitchen Manager you will be for responsible for training and operating a high-volume kitchen

• maintaining speed and quality of service while leading your team by example.

If you have a minimum of 5+ years culinary experience and a preferred minimum of 2 year in a leadership kitchen role; please submit a full resume with references. We offer benefits plus transparent profit sharing. A typical day within this position would require many tasks that are essential to a high-functioning restaurant kitchen:

• Order materials, supplies, and ingredients based on par levels and sales budgets
• Supervising kitchen employees and organizing product orders and oversee the food preparation and cooking process
• Recruit and train kitchen employees in designated stations
• Count, monitor, and manage BOH inventory levels
• Schedule shifts for BOH staff
• Maintain weekly and monthly budget and cost reports
• Work directly with General Manager for goals, budgets, and menu assessment
• Verify all food products are stored and rotated in compliance with health and safety regulations
• Follow and enforce health department guidelines for cleanliness and sanitation

Base Pay:

$45,000

• 50,000 to start PLUS $10k
• 20k+ profit share. Total Compensation $55,000
