Position Overview:
As the General Manager , you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant. This includes managing staff, maintaining high standards of food quality and customer service, driving financial performance, and ensuring a smooth operation of the front-of-house and back-of-house. You will work closely with the owner and other managers to implement strategies that improve service, revenue, and employee satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Staff Management:
Recruit, train, and develop front-of-house and back-of-house teams. Foster a positive and efficient work environment through motivation, coaching, and feedback. Ensure all team members are adhering to restaurant policies and procedures.
Customer Service & Guest Relations:
Ensure exceptional guest experiences by monitoring service standards, addressing guest concerns, and implementing strategies to exceed customer expectations. Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Operations & Financial Management:
Manage daily restaurant operations, ensuring that all departments run efficiently. Oversee inventory control, ordering, and cost management to ensure profitability. Analyze financial reports and KPIs (e.g., sales, labor, food cost) and implement action plans to meet business goals.
Health & Safety Compliance:
Ensure all health and safety standards are followed, including food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation practices. Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Marketing & Community Engagement:
Collaborate with the marketing team to implement promotions, events, and community outreach initiatives. Establish relationships with local suppliers, vendors, and community partners to enhance the restaurant’s reputation and profitability.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a General Manager or in a senior management role within the restaurant or hospitality industry. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team. In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations, financial management, and customer service. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations while maintaining a positive attitude. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions. Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the food service industry. Preferred Qualifications:
