This role includes managing front-of-house staff such as servers, bartenders, and barbacks, while also supervising seasonal operations at the Cabana Bar and Beverage Cart Services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a creative approach to beverage service.
Key Responsibilities:
Staff Management:
Recruit, train, and supervise front-of-house staff including servers, bartenders, and barbacks. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance team development. Schedule staff shifts effectively to ensure optimal coverage during peak hours.
Operational Oversight:
Ensure that all service areas operate smoothly and efficiently in compliance with health and safety regulations. Monitor inventory levels of beverages and supplies; place orders as necessary to maintain stock. Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for service excellence across all bar areas.
Customer Experience:
Foster a welcoming atmosphere by engaging with guests and addressing any concerns promptly. Develop strategies to enhance customer satisfaction through exceptional service delivery. Oversee the execution of promotional events and tastings to attract guests and elevate their experience.
Beverage Program Development:
Conceptualize innovative drink features that align with seasonal trends and guest preferences. Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients for cocktails and other beverages. Analyze sales data to identify popular items and adjust the menu accordingly.
Event Coordination:
Plan and host tastings, special events, and promotions that showcase new products or seasonal offerings. Work closely with marketing teams to promote events through various channels including social media and in-house advertising.
Financial Management:
Prepare budgets for bar operations; monitor expenses to ensure profitability. Analyze financial reports related to beverage sales; implement strategies for revenue enhancement.
Collaboration:
Coordinate with other departments within the resort to ensure seamless service delivery during large events or peak seasons. Maintain open communication with kitchen staff regarding menu pairings and special requests from guests.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in bar management or similar roles within the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of mixology, beverage trends, and customer service best practices. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team.
Working Conditions:
Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs. Ability to stand for extended periods while performing duties in a fast-paced environment.
