Position Summary The Front of House Service Manager is responsible for ensuring a top-tier customer experience at Seaview Crab Company’s markets and deli/kitchen. This person leads a small team of front-line employees and fishmongers, manages daily operations, and sets the tone for exceptional service, hospitality, and professionalism. Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Development Lead, coach, and inspire a small team of FOH staff, ensuring they provide excellent service in a fast-paced environment Foster a positive team culture based on accountability, communication, and mutual respect Train new team members in customer service, point-of-sale, seafood knowledge, and kitchen-to-customer flow Conduct regular check-ins and performance feedback sessions Delegate daily roles and tasks, ensuring efficient shift flow Customer Experience Be the face of

greet customers warmly, solve problems quickly, and ensure every guest leaves satisfied Handle customer concerns and complaints with grace and professionalism Ensure FOH areas (retail displays, deli counters, dining areas) are clean, stocked, and inviting Maintain strong knowledge of seafood offerings, kitchen specials, and preparation tips to educate and upsell to guests Operational Management Oversee FOH opening and closing procedures Monitor and manage FOH supplies and ordering needs (paper goods, utensils, POS supplies, etc.) Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations Coordinate closely with BOH/kitchen staff to ensure smooth service transitions and timely order fulfillment Manage POS systems, end-of-day cash handling, and basic reporting Collaboration & Culture Act as a bridge between staff and upper management Contribute to strategic conversations about improving service and efficiency Embody and uphold Seaview Crab Company’s core values: quality, community, integrity, and continuous improvement
Qualifications Required:
2+ years of experience in hospitality, food service, or retail management Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate small teams Passion for customer service and hospitality Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Basic proficiency in POS systems, scheduling software, and
Microsoft Office/Google Suite Preferred:
