Assistant Town Manager 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars 145 Main Street, Plaistow, NH 03865 The Town of Plaistow, NH (population 7,900) is seeking a qualified candidate for the Assistant Town Manager position. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, collaborative, and engaging individual for this community, with its rich tradition of culture, education, and civic engagement. Plaistow is located in southeastern NH on the border of MA, and is equidistant from bother Concord, NH and Boston, MA. It serves as home to both the regional middle and high schools. The Town Manager, who is overseen by a five member Selectboard, will appoint, oversee, and direct the Assistant Town Manager. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, MPA or a Master’s in a related field is preferred. Experience in municipal management, public administration with emphasis on personnel development and administration, familiarity with unions, contracts and risk management is a plus. This position requires a current, valid driver’s license. The position requires travel throughout the region and attendance at night meetings and local building officials’ meetings. Salary is a minimum of $80,000 per year, dependent upon qualifications. Plaistow is an equal opportunity employer.
