Assistant Manager Downbeach Deli & Restaurant 8 South Essex Avenue, Margate City, NJ 08402 Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our establishment, ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests while maintaining high standards of service and efficiency. This position is perfect for individuals with a background in the restaurant or hospitality industry, particularly in casual dining, catering, or hotel environments. Duties Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations and staff management to ensure smooth functioning. Train, develop, and mentor team members to enhance their skills and performance. Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with regulations. Coordinate catering services and manage food preparation processes to meet customer demands. Monitor inventory levels and assist with budgeting to optimize operational efficiency. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction. Support bartending operations as needed, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Implement effective food handling practices to maintain quality and safety standards. Skills Proven experience in a restaurant, casual dining, or hotel setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent training development skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff. Proficient in budgeting and inventory management. Experience in food preparation and catering services is a plus. Bartending experience is desirable but not mandatory. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster a positive team environment. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
