NOW HIRING:

Restaurant Manager North Arlington, NJ Part-Time/Full Time | Evenings & Weekends Required Project 584 Bar & Grill is looking for a highly motivated, hands-on Restaurant Bar Manager to lead our front-of-house operations and ensure smooth day-to-day performance. If you thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment, know how to lead a team, and can juggle systems and service with ease — we want to hear from you. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Oversee daily bar and restaurant floor operations as active floor manager Handle employee scheduling and ensure proper shift coverage Process payroll accurately and on time Manage inventory, including liquor inventory control, par level tracking, and placing vendor orders Perform pour cost analysis and spot-checking using bottle weighing or measured pours to monitor accuracy and prevent loss Supervise and support staff to maintain high service standards Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of front-of-house team Monitor food handling practices to ensure proper safety standards are followed Ensure compliance with local health, food safety, and ABC (Alcoholic Beverage Control) regulations Address customer concerns and maintain a positive guest experience Monitor cash handling and POS system accuracy Use inventory management software and scheduling tools effectively Work with ownership to meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals Proficient using a PC (email, spreadsheets, scheduling platforms, POS management, etc.)

Requirements:

Prior experience as a restaurant/bar manager or assistant manager (2+ years preferred) Strong understanding of payroll, schedule management, inventory systems, and restaurant operations Skilled in liquor inventory control, pour cost analysis, par level tracking, food handling, and spot-checking procedures Comfortable using PC-based software and tools (POS, Excel, Word, etc.) Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Must be able to lead by example and work on your feet for extended hours Flexible availability — evenings, weekends, and holidays required Licensing & Certifications (Preferred or Required by Law): Valid Food Safety Manager Certification (ANSI-accredited) — Required by NJ law ServSafe (National Restaurant Association) StateFoodSafety 360training (Learn2Serve) AAA Food Handler Always Food Safe Food Handler Certification (if applicable by role) General food safety certification strongly preferred
