Job Summary:

The Catering and Events Manager reports directly to the owner and works parallel with other on-premise managers regarding everyday operations. Key responsibilities including planning, sales, execution, and client satisfaction of all events private and publickly promoted. This role also contributes with daily restaurant operations, office management, ensuring high standards of food quality, service, and guest experience.

Catering & Events Responsibilities:

Lead the planning and execution of all on-premise catered events, including rehearsals, showers, corporate events, retirements, social gatherings, and more Meet with clients to understand needs and expectations, offering guidance on menu selection, event flow, and other details. Develop and manage events marketing to the general public to drive sales, creating budgets, ensuring profitability and efficient marketing. Create and customize menus in collaboration with the culinary team Coordinate with our Off-Premise Catering consultants regarding logistics for event setup, including equipment rentals, staffing, and transportation. Supervise staff, providing uplifting leadership, training, and support to ensure excellent service. Manage vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and coordinating with external suppliers. Oversee food preparation and presentation ensuring high standards of quality and safety. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations during events. Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement. Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote catering services and increase revenue. Actively respond and follow up with leads and emails in our catering platform within a 36 hour window, successfully securing caterings.

Restaurant Operations Responsibilities:

Support daily restaurant operations, assisting with front-of-house and potentially back-of-house tasks as needed. Ensure adherence to service standards and maintain a positive dining experience for guests. Assist with staff management and training within the restaurant when required. Contribute to maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant, including catering areas. Provide support with inventory tracking and ordering supplies for the restaurant.

Qualifications :

Proven experience in catering and event management, preferably within the food and beverage industry Strong understanding of restaurant operations and guest service expectations. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, while keeping a balanced personal life. Proficiency in event management software, email communication and social media platforms Culinary experience is preferred. ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification may be required. Experience in hiring, training, and supervising staff

Salary:

Is negotiable based on experience and approx hours of work desired. Annual bonuses and raises based off of performance
