Position Purpose:

The Assistant Manager is in charge of overseeing the restaurant’s daily operations and ensuring that the staff maintains high standards in food quality, service, and guest experience. They are also responsible for upholding the health and safety standards of the establishment.

Requirements qualifications:

Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a full-service casual establishment Previous personnel management experience of 5 or more employees Specialized organizational and verbal communication skills Ability to multi-task effectively under fast-paced working conditions Ability to maintain neat, professional and clean appearance and practices Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, and general computer literacy Must demonstrate a professional demeanor and possess highly developed interpersonal skills Must possess working knowledge of current restaurant management standards and trends Flexibility with hourly schedules, including weekend, holiday and evening availabilities Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, or related field Experience with Micros software Knowledge and understanding of workplace safety procedures Extensive knowledge of the arts, culture, viniculture, agriculture, and history of the Finger Lakes and Inns of Aurora Specialized historical knowledge of the Cayuga County and Village of Aurora area TIPS certifications; will train as needed Benefits We are proud to offer outstanding benefits to all of our employees.
