We are seeking an Assistant General Manager with Fine Dining experience (will consider an experienced Restaurant Manager eager to grow) A new fine dining restaurant has opened its doors, offering a refined and immersive culinary experience where exceptional service, elegant design, and thoughtful hospitality come together. With a vision rooted in excellence and a guest-first philosophy, this family-owned concept seeks an experienced Assistant General Manager (AGM) to help lead its launch and set a new standard for elevated dining. Position Overview The AGM will work closely with ownership and the leadership team to oversee day-to-day front-of-house operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a highly collaborative environment, values open communication, and embraces the opportunity to build something extraordinary as part of a unified team. As this is a family-owned and operated concept, the ideal candidate will be comfortable working alongside hands-on owners, contributing ideas, receiving feedback, and maintaining flexibility as the restaurant evolves. A spirit of partnership, humility, and shared vision is essential. Key Responsibilities Guide and support all service operations, ensuring each guest experience is polished, consistent, and exceptional.
Collaborate with ownership and leadership on strategic and operational decisions, helping to shape the restaurant’s culture and standards from the ground up.
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training of front-of-house staff, cultivating a professional, team-oriented environment rooted in hospitality and mutual respect.
Maintain constant communication with the culinary team to ensure smooth coordination and impeccable service flow.
Actively manage the dining room during service, resolving issues with discretion and ensuring a welcoming, attentive atmosphere.
Support with scheduling, inventory oversight, vendor communication, and compliance with all health and safety standards.
Participate in the planning and execution of private dining events, seasonal offerings, and guest engagement initiatives. Who You Are An experienced hospitality professional with a background in fine dining or upscale restaurant leadership.
Naturally collaborative and open to feedback, with a team-first mindset and a strong sense of humility.
Comfortable working closely with owners and leadership in a hands-on, family-run environment.
Calm and composed in high-pressure settings, with excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Passionate about service excellence, with a detail-oriented approach and a genuine desire to elevate the guest experience.
Excited to contribute to the launch and long-term success of a new concept, offering both insight and adaptability. Preferred Background Prior experience opening a fine dining restaurant or working in a leadership role within a similar service setting.
Familiarity with luxury service protocols, wine and beverage pairings, and elevated guest relations.
Knowledge of restaurant systems, including POS, reservation platforms, scheduling tools, and inventory management.
