Full-Time, Approximately 45 Hours per Week About Us Temakase Hand Roll Bar is a vibrant, fast-casual sushi concept located in the heart of the East Village. We specialize in freshly made, high-quality hand rolls served in a warm, energetic, and approachable environment. We are passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and building a strong, community-focused team. Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on Restaurant General Manager to lead daily operations, manage staff, and ensure exceptional service and product quality. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about hospitality and team development. Key Responsibilities Oversee all day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and a high standard of service Lead, coach, and develop front-of-house and back-of-house teams to foster a collaborative and motivated work environment Manage scheduling, payroll, and labor to align with business needs and budget targets Ensure exceptional guest experiences, promptly addressing feedback and resolving any service issues Monitor inventory, place orders, and control food, beverage, and supply costs Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations Collaborate with ownership on business goals, marketing initiatives, and growth opportunities Handle cash management, sales reporting, and basic financial tracking Drive team accountability and uphold Temakase’s brand, culture, and customer-first values Qualifications 2+ years of management experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment (sushi or fast-casual experience a plus) Strong leadership and team-building skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Comfortable working on the floor, actively supporting staff and engaging with guests Proficient in scheduling, basic budgeting, and inventory management Food Protection Certificate (preferred or required within 30 days of hire) What We Offer $65,000 annual salary Consistent schedule, approximately 45 hours per week Opportunity to shape a growing concept and lead a passionate team Positive, supportive work environment Principals only.
