About us:
Win Son Bakery is a Taiwanese – American, all day cafe in East Village, NYC. We are known throughout NYC for our breakfast sandwiches, burgers, and Taiwan-inspired pastries. Along with that, we operate a third wave style coffee program, as well as a full bar with craft cocktails, natural wine and artisanal beer. We are a gathering place for our neighbors as well as a destination for tourists and people from all over the city. Job duties include, but are not limited to: Managing services during both morning and evening hours Leading a team of around 20 front of house employees, as well as coordinating with back of house managers and employees Assist with communication to update FOH on menu and policy updates Assisting with training new employees Menu management including in house menus, POS system menus (Toast) and delivery and takeout platform menus Participating in weekly management meetings Works with management team to problem solve issues and streamline systems What we are looking for in a candidate: Experience with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) Great verbal and written communication skills At least 2 years of restaurant or cafe management experience, or extensive service experience NYC Food Handlers Certificate Flexible availability – includes nights and weekends Ability to identify and solve problems Barista experience What we provide: Medical and dental insurance, PTO, phone and travel stipend Competitive salary Opportunity to work with a small, creative management/ownership team in a growing restaurant group We look forward to hearing you from!
