Front of House/Bar Manager Cedar Lake Club Inc. 382 Rider Road, Clayville, NY 13322 This is a seasonal position with the season running from April 1st to October 31st. The Cedar Lake Club is seeking a Seasonal Director of Food & Beverage.

As the Director of Food & Beverage, you will be a strategic leader with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences to our members and guests. Your oversight will include all aspects of our food and beverage operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, service, and profitability. Job Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Develop and execute the food and beverage strategy in alignment with the objectives of the Cedar Lake Club Board Continuously analyze market trends and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for growth and improvement Set and achieve revenue budgets and profitability targets while maintaining a strong focus on food and beverage cost control Develop Standard Operating Procedures and enforce staff adherence Manage cash handling Team Management Recruit and train a team of food and beverage service professionals and provide guidance and support as needed Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting development and motivation Ensure all staff members adhere to high standards of service and professionalism Dining Experience Excellence Oversee the creation and execution of innovative and appealing menus and specials in food and beverage department Coordinates restaurant activities with the Chef to optimize member service and experience Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and service are consistently met Regularly review member feedback and take proactive steps to address any concerns or suggestions Financial Management Develop and manage the food and beverage departments budgets Develop and monitor inventory system and levels and order supplies as necessary Monitor financial performance, analyze variances and implement corrective actions as needed Optimize revenue through pricing strategies, inventory control, promotions and upselling opportunities Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with all local health, safety and food handling regulations Implement and maintain food safety and hygiene standards throughout the operation Event Management Oversee the internal planning and execution of special events, banquets and functions Collaborate with the Cedar Lake Club team to attract events and to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction Ensure flawless execution of events, exceeding member and guest expectations Vendor Relationships Establish and maintain strong relationships with food and beverage suppliers and vendors Negotiate pricing contracts, manage deliveries, and monitor product quality and pricing Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferable Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in food and beverage management Strong financial acumen with a proven track record of achieving budgetary goals, revenue and profit targets Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Creative and innovative mindset with a passion for culinary and dining excellence Knowledge of industry trends and best practices Ability to work flexible and sometimes long hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
